"WHAT YOU GET"
there are two kinds of experience -- "EARNED XP" and "PASSUP XP".
 | EARNED XP is what you earn (mainly by killing things .. also by doing skills, casting spells, turning in pincers etc ...). obviously, for every xp point you earn, you get a point of xp. |
| RAW PASSUP XP is what your vassals give you. for every point of xp that your vassals give you, your vassal passes you a point of RAW PASSUP XP. but that's not how much xp you actually get ... you are really credited with NET PASSUP XP |
| NET PASSUP XP (the actual amount of xp that shows up in your greedy little hands) is the RAW PASSUP XP ... MODIFIED BY A RECEIVED XP MULTIPLIER. that multiplier varies based upon your adjusted leadership skill. this multiplier ranges from 68% (adjusted leadership skill 0f 0) to 125% (adjusted leadership skill of 163). that is right -- leadership CAPS at 168 ... and when you get that cap, you get 1.25 points of xp for each point that your vassal gives you. |
i.e. NET_PASSUP_XP = RAW_PASSUP_XP * RECEIVED_XP_MODIFIER
"WHAT YOUR PATRON GETS FROM YOU"
there are two formulas for how much xp you give to your patron .. one for EARNED xp and one for PASSUP xp. both are based on adjusted loyalty
| PASSUP XP, you generally pass up roughly 15-35% of what you actually EARNED to your patron, depending on YOUR adjusted loyalty skill. the rate is ~23% (actually 22.9%) at skill 200, 30% at 300 and 37% at 400 ---- that's the RAW PASSUP XP that your patron sees from each point of xp that you go out and earn. NOTE: passup xp rate never "CAPS." |
| PASSTHRU XP, you generally passthru between 60%-75% of the NET PASSUP XP that you vassals gave to you. (60% at adjusted loyalty of 100, 75% at 200). NOTE: passthru xp rate DOES "CAP." |
