Esprit tests at 42 & 43

i did a couple of more tests, just to verify what we've been seeing w/acumen at higher levels

bulletacumen at 42 and 43
bulletfour implements: drums (vig 51, 30, 25) and a scythe (vig -7)
bulletstarting vig: 1278
bulletcasted life boon (base vig 340)
bulleti recorded vigor remaining after casting the spell on myself. verified by casting twice.
ESPRIT = 42
Casting Life Boon (340 Base vig)
  wep vig cost start vig end vig total cast cost -wep mod esprit effect
Drum 51 1278 929 349 298 -42
Drum 30 1278 950 328 298 -42
Drum 25 1278 955 323 298 -42
Scythe -7 1278 987 291 298 -42
ESPRIT = 43
Casting Life Boon (340 Base vig)
  wep vig cost start vig end vig total cast cost -wep mod esprit effect
Drum 51 1278 930 348 297 -43
Drum 30 1278 951 327 297 -43
Drum 25 1278 956 322 297 -43
Scythe -7 1278 988 290 297 -43

i think i can safely say that

bulletacumen, at skill 42-43, provides a [skill+0] reduction in casting cost.
bulletthis is consistent across positive and negative casting cost weapons.
bulletit would be interesting to see if the seeming discontinuities in vigor reduction (seeming discontinuities, because it is possible that these are integer rounding artifacts. though i question a design decision of making esprit reduction a formula on the order of (0.96 * skill) + 2 ... who so that when the effects are so small, there are ranges where a skill increase produces no visible ingame effect, and is likely to arouse the playerbase?
bulleti doubt that i will do the research, since i would need to untrain both acumen and esprit. well, remotely possible on maybe a rainy day where i do icefire and MA back to back with another tonk.
